The lazy person's cleaning guide: how to keep your bike alive without doing anything

The least possible effort to keep your bike running smoothly, clean, and drama-free.

For us, cleaning the bike is a ritual, but we understand that some might find it incredibly tedious.

Sunday arrives, you come back covered in dust, mud, and glory… and the last thing you feel like doing is getting out the bucket, brush, and playing Formula 1 mechanic.

But don't worry: there's hope for lazy cyclists.

At Klinpig, we bring you the ultimate guide to keeping your bike afloat with the least possible effort.

Step 1: Accept that your bike won't clean itself (yet)

No, there isn't a magic product that makes mud disappear as if by magic (though we're working on it 👀).

But there are quick tricks so you don't have to spend half an hour scrubbing every time you come back from a ride.

Golden rule: what you clean today, you won't have to scrape off tomorrow, and it will cost more, we assure you.

Step 2: Degreaser, but don't overdo it

No high-pressure hoses like a car wash tunnel.

Just a little degreaser; apply it to the entire drivetrain, let it act for a few minutes, then remove the product and dirt residue with a little water and a microfiber cloth.

Spray it, let it sit for a minute, wipe it with a rag… and that's it.

No need to disassemble half the bike or make an appointment at the workshop.

Step 3: Dry bike cleaner, the key

You're lucky that at Klinpig we have developed our dry bike cleaner; with it, you can remove all traces of dust and mud from the frame, wheels, and components. Without the need for hoses or making a spectacle, you can superficially clean your entire bike.

However, if it's been through a day of heavy mud and rain, it's better to use regular bike cleaner and remove the dirt with a hose.

Step 4: Lubricant, to gain more watts

Lubricant is like your bike's coffee: without it, it won't perform.

If you're one of those who think "I'll do it later," your chain is already silently crying.

Use a clean lubricant like Impoluta Chain, wax-based. It doesn't stain, doesn't get dirty, and you don't have to keep cleaning grease all the time.

Literally the lazy person's lubricant.

Of course, for those looking for more performance or riding in more extreme conditions, try our Pata Negra Klin or Pata Negra Pig lines.

You don't have to be a maintenance fanatic.

You just need the right products and 5 minutes of motivation.

Do your bike this favor, and it will repay you without noise, rust, or drama.

The conclusion

Everything you need is at Klinpig. Effortless, no excuses.
